The Mt. Abram Ascent is back!
This classic mountain climb takes racers up 2-miles of mowed ski trails to the summit of Mt. Abram where you'll have dramatic views of the Western Maine foothills. The descent will begin on ski trails and end on a section of single track hiking trail in the woods, before reaching the finish line at the Mt. Abram base lodge.
The 3.5 course has about 1000 feet of elevation over the first two miles. Footing is good throughout with the section in the woods requiring a bit extra care and awareness while running.

This course is designed for intermediate and expert runners. Beginners will likely, but enjoyably, find themselves walking for a good portion of the uphill on this course. The footing on the ski trail is very good. Racers will be able to let loose on these sections without much regard for what is underneath them. The single track trail, however, requires extra care nd awareness as racers should expect roots, rocks, and mud. Racers looking to walk will enjoy beautiful scenery and easy hiking terrain.
Similar to other live events (concerts, sporting events, etc), all sales are final. If you will not be able to make your race, you are more than welcome to give your ticket to a friend or family member. Please contact our office with any issues or questions.
All ages are welcome to attend this event. Depending on the venue, age restrcitions may apply on the Baxter Brewing Co after party. Please see the event details tab for information on the afterparty and any applicable age restrictions.
