Event Description:

For the third year in a row, we conclude the New England Trail Run Series with the Lost Valley 5k Relay. This year, however, the race is just one part of the Baxter Brewing Co. Backyard Festival.

In this race, competitors will be able to choose between a solo event or a team event. Solo racers may choose from 5k, 10k, or 15k course. Teams may choose from a 2-person 10k format or a 3-person 15k format.

The course itself will be comprised of a single 5k loop on the nordic trails of Lost Valley. Solo 10k and 15k racers will complete multiple loops of the course. Teams will do the same in a relay format with each team member completing one 5k loop.

Stick around after the race for live music from the Brad Hutchinson Project, a cornhole tournament with $200 cash prize, disc golf contests courtesy of Sabattus Disc Golf, food, and specials on Baxter Beer.

Total entries for this race will be capped at 100. Festival entry is unlimited

*Cornhole tournament signups will be available online beginning at 8am on Friday 11/4 and will only be available to runners or non-runners who have purchased entry to the event. The $200 dollar cash prize will go to the winning team of 2 with non-cash awards for 2nd place. It is likely that the cornhole tournament will fill up online so we cannot guarantee day-of signup.

How difficult is this event?

While racers of all ability levels are encouraged to participate, this race will favor intermediate and expert runners. Moderate elevation gain and standard trail conditions will pose a challenge for all contestants. As with all trail runs, beware of rocks, roots, and mud throughout the course. Racers looking to walk will enjoy beautiful scenery and easy hiking terrain.

Similar to other live events (concerts, sporting events, etc), all sales are final. If you will not be able to make your race, you are more than welcome to give your ticket to a friend or family member. Please contact our office with any issues or questions.
