Baxter Outdoors was born of the notion that everything is better outside.
We design our events to be a) accessible to all and to b) display Maine's great outdoor spaces. Never on roads, only dirt, our races and events take advantage of the natural beauty throughout the state, highlighting both the unique landscapes and the stewards who care for the land. Our work takes us from Cumberland County all the way to Grand Lake Stream and as far north as Millinocket working with a myriad of land trusts, private land owners, and public lands along the way.
Baxter Outdoors races launched in 2014 with four trail run events and now our 6th year we produce over 16 outdoor events featuring trail running, mountain biking, outdoor concerts, film festivals, snowshoeing, nordic skiing, and a whole lot more! With these events, Baxter Outdoors is thrilled to give our customers a great excuse to get outdside in whatever way they see fit.
As our name suggests, Baxter Outdoors' main objective is to get people outside. We recognize that people are busy and that, often, exercise and recreation are the first things to suffer. Baxter Outdoors makes it easy to get outside and explore New England's greatest landscapes in a fun, competitive atmosphere.
Baxter makes a firm commitment to the communities in which it does business. We try to run annual events whose positive impact grows in their community year after year. We also try to keep all of our partnerships and sponsorships within New England.
Baxter Outdoors partners with local charities and gives a percentage of all net profits to a philanthropic partner of our choice.
